In order to ensure that our manufacturing operation is achieving world’s best practice, and our products are engineered to the highest quality, Ampac maintain a Production Engineering Department – which is our Centre of Excellence.

Production Engineering is charged with varying key responsibilities which encompass key core competencies vital to maintaining quality and promoting innovation. These include –

  • Involvement in the product development process by ensuring all new and existing products can be manufactured efficiently and competitively.
  • Development and implementation of up to date test strategies and equipment for stringent inline production testing. Every product in the Ampac range is stringently tested from individual component level to finished product. Our Quality Assurance procedures ensure the highest level of manufacturing processes and inspections.
  • Certifying that all our manufacturing processes are efficient, safe and up to world class standards. A structured continuous improvement program ensures ongoing assessment of each facet within the product cycle.

Production Engineering is closely aligned to our Research and Development division, providing critical resources for mechanical prototyping, key component sourcing and technical documentation. This close alignment ensures improved efficiencies in development timelines from concept design stage to full scale manufacturing.
